Wednesday Morning Update

We’re starting this day (January 25, 2012) with 2,084 customers without service. That puts us just shy of having restored power to 60,000 affected customers in the 54 hours since the first tornado warnings. Our assessment shows that approximately 400 customers will not be able to receive service because of the extent of the damage to their homes and buildings.

The remaining outages are located in Jefferson County in the Center Point, Chalkville, and Clay areas. We still expect to have service restored to 99% of affected customers by the end of the day today. Crews that aren’t needed for the remaining work will be released during the day.

Thanks to everyone for their support and patience, and please stay safe.
